　　距离圣诞节还有一周，美丽的蒙特纳罗女公爵玛格丽特与长相跟自己一模一样的芝加哥平民史黛西对换了身份。在圣诞老人助手的魔法下，玛格丽特爱上了史黛西英俊的同事，而史黛西则爱上了玛格丽特的未婚夫，一位风度翩翩的王子。

　　阿姆布罗瑟（文森特·卡索 Vincent Cassel 饰）是一名非常虔诚的修道士，早就发誓将自己的身体和心里全权交由上帝管理。苛刻而又严格的他对教义有着自己独特的理解，他觉得世人每一日都在玷污上帝的存在。玛蒂娜非常的崇拜阿姆布罗瑟，她的顺从和服从激发了阿姆布罗瑟潜藏在心底的兽欲，欲望一旦被激发，就无法收拾，阿姆布罗瑟一步一步向着深渊走去。　　安东尼娅（约瑟芬·约比 Joséphine Japy 饰）是常常前往修道院为自己的母亲祷告的女孩，她的纯洁吸引了阿姆布罗斯的注意，后者为了能够占有她的身体，不惜设计将她的母亲杀死。最终，阿姆布罗瑟的种种罪行被一个贵族青年给发现了。
